Sir Speedy Owner Interviewed About Promotional Products

Although corporate swag is always in style, many companies are looking for more budget-minded options this year, thanks to inflation.

Evan Bloom, co-owner of three Sir Speedy franchise locations on Long Island, was recently interviewed by Newsday about this trend. The article noted that the cost of many branded promotional products has risen anywhere from 8% to 10%.

Bloom suggested that one way around rising costs is to segment your client base and select more expensive promotional products for top-tier clients. These might include items such as a leather desk organizer or a wine gift set with accessories. Then, look for cost-effective alternatives for other clients who you still want to acknowledge in some way.

Bloom offered several suggestions for less expensive branded items including:

  • Mugs or glass jars filled with candy that range from $5 to $10 per item
  • Charging stations ranging from $5 to $10
  • Eyeglass/sunglass kits with a microfiber cloth and cleaning solution that could be less than $5 per item

The article also notes that branded apparel, drinkware and home goods, such as blankets, remain popular promotional items.
